Social Media Executive – Faceberry Communications, BAC Education Group

Manage and grow the company’s social media accounts across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, XHS and emerging platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Community management – respond to audiences in a timely manner.
  • Create and manage social media calendars and campaigns in line with brand objectives.
  • Develop, plan, and execute engaging content (text, graphics, photography, and especially video) for both scheduled and ad-hoc posts.
  • Ideate, script, film, and edit short-form and long-form video content (e.g. reels, TikTok, YouTube shorts, campaign promos).
  • Use video editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Canva to produce high-quality, platform-optimised content.
  • Collaborate with videographers, photographers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver creative campaigns.
  • Optimize and schedule posts for maximum reach, engagement, and conversions.
  • Manage community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and mentions promptly.
  • Maintain proper archiving of assets, login credentials, and project files.
  • Stay updated with current social media trends, viral formats, sounds, and best practices, adapting them to our brand voice.
  • Explore the potential value of social media sites that are not yet in our repertoire.
  • Monitor, track, and report on performance analytics, competitor activities, and campaign ROI.
  • Identify new social media trends and develop content to keep audiences engaged.
  • Assist in the planning and promotion of marketing campaigns, interviews, events, and activations.
  • Support brand-building through consistent storytelling across social networks, forums, blogs, and online directories.
  • Content Marketing; actively publish useful and relevant content including blogs, tweets and other social messaging.
  • Events; assist with pre-promotion of tradeshows and exhibitions, seminars and other events.
  • Record project/campaign processes and outcomes.
  • Assist the Head of Department with ad-hoc projects, communications, and campaign initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Candidates must possess at least a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Creative Writing, Business, Advertising, Media, Marketing, or similar.
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and other social media best practices, including their algorithms and pertinent engagement metrics.
  • Proven ability to create video content: from conceptualisation to shooting, editing, and publishing.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects) and basic graphic design tools (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Knowledge of paid social advertising (Facebook Ads, TikTok Ads, etc.) and digital campaign management is a plus.
  • Highly adaptable, patient, organised, disciplined, good at time management, and able to work under pressure.
  • Independent, proactive, and resourceful, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Strong copywriting, storytelling, and content ideation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English (Malay, Tamil and Mandarin will be an added advantage).
  • Creative, easy-going, and can adapt to sudden deadlines.
  • Familiar with B2B and B2C marketing campaigns.
  • Bonus: Experience with live streaming, podcast editing, or influencer collaboration.
