A financial institution in Malaysia is seeking an experienced professional to manage and review assigned SME portfolios. The role requires strong compliance with internal credit policies and ensures credit quality aligns with industry standards. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance or related fields and at least 5 years of experience in credit analysis. You will coach a diverse team and focus on skillset development to enhance productivity and minimize credit losses.
Manage, monitor and review the assigned SME portfolio.
Plan, strategize and execute all operational aspects of the team including but not limited to staff productivity, credit quality in compliance with the requirements in credit policy.
Ensure compliance in internal credit policy and procedures, statutory guidelines (BNM/GP guidelines, Basel requirements) and principles of lending.
Covenant tracking, annual review on accounts in compliance with the requirements in credit policy.
Ensure credit quality stands up to approving authority expectations and manage loan quality to ensure minimal credit losses for the bank.
Guide and coach a team with mixed seniority and experiences for competency, skillset development and succession planning.
Identify skill gap and provide action plan to develop, attract and retain talented staff.
Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Economic or related field with strong credit knowledge.
At least 5 years of working experience in credit review/analysis and or credit sales/appraisal/approval functions, covering business loan lending in CAPEX and Working Capital.
Strong skillset and sound knowledge in Credit risk assessment, Financial analysis, Risk management, Credit products, and Credit policy, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Good interpersonal skills, inquisitive with strong analytical skills.
Proficient in report writing and communication skills.
