Job summary

A construction management firm is seeking a Site Supervisor in Selangor. The role involves overseeing daily operations, liaising with subcontractors, and ensuring safety compliance on site. Qualifications

Overview

• To perform daily site supervision of the work activities.
• To liaise & maintain relationship with subcontractor, local authority, consultant & client.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting Project Engineer/Project Manager/Project Director in supervising, monitoring and controlling daily works at the project site.
• Reading and understanding of construction drawings and to check for discrepancies if any.
• Report to Project Engineer/Project Manager/Project Director on the daily progress of the project.
• Daily work planning, management of sub-con and ensure work done accordingly.
• Perform site works supervision and inspections.
• Make sure all activities are following safety requirements and regulations, executed in accordance with quality standards required.
• Liaise and coordinate with Clients, Sub-contractor and Suppliers.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractor’s activities at site as per work schedule.
• Carry out joint measurement with sub-contractor/client/consultant.
• Check quality and quantity for material delivered to site.
• Receiving and organize the delivery & unloading of material at site store/laydown area.
• Liaise with lorry driver according to site location if any.
• Make sure proper material control and storage, quality assurance and full machine utilization.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, relevant stakeholders and the public using principles of good customer service.
• Perform any other relevant tasks as assigned by Project Engineer/Project Manager/Project Director.
• Implement and maintain company's Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• At least two (2) years working experience at site. Experienced with TNB’s project is added advantage.
• Possesses valid CIDB green card. NTSP, GCQP & RAA holder is added advantage.
• Familiar & able to operate Microsoft Office.
• Able to stay full time at site (Perlis, Kedah, Melaka & Selangor).
• Possesses a Lifting/Rigging/Excavation certificate is an advantage.
• Familiar with safety standard concepts and best practices for construction/substation/environment.
• Good writing and verbal communication skills in both English & Bahasa Melayu.
• Keen intention to detail and ability to effectively manage time.
• Valid driving license & have own transport.
• Able to work in irregular hours to complete the site work activities.
