Job summary

A construction company in Selangor is seeking a Project Coordinator to assist in managing site works and coordinate with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have a Higher Diploma or Certificate in Building or Architecture and 1 to 3 years of experience in the construction field. Strong bilingual communication skills and proficiency in MS Office and CAD software are required. The role involves monitoring project progress and ensuring quality control on site.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager / Construction Manager on the project site works progress and delivery.
  • Liaise with client's representatives with regards to all site matters with proper documentation.
  • Coordinate with the main contractor / subcontractors / consultant with the delivery of products and installation works.
  • Liaise with suppliers/subcontractors on submission for approval and procurement of materials and products.
  • To crosscheck and submit all documents required for materials submission, shop drawings, and as build drawing submission in team binder.
  • Review of consultant’s documents for discrepancies.
  • To issue correspondence letter regarding for the site works matters.
  • Attend site meeting if required.
  • Responsible for monitoring the daily process and progress at the project site.
  • Carry out inspection of purchased materials delivered to the project site.
  • Identify and records quality control problems during production or site work.
  • Responsible for determining the cause of the quality problem and initiate corrective action.
  • All site administration works
  • Other duties to be performed as and when required
Qualifications
  • Higher Diploma / Certificate in Building / Architecture Studies or equivalent
  • 1 – 3 years working experience in construction field
  • Effectively bilingual with good verbal and writing skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office application
  • Possess CIDB qualification.
  • Independent, proactive, technically competent and team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possess teamwork spirit, problem solving skills and able to work independently.
  • Well verse with the use of Microsoft Excel, Words, Autocad, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and meticulous.
  • Proven experience working as a Project Coordinator, preferably in the ID contractor industry.
  • Good knowledge in construction activities processes.
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Be a team player, proactive and systematic in your approach
  • Candidate with ID and facade works knowledge will be an advantage.
