Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor daily construction activities, workforce and subcontractors.
- Ensure works are carried out according to drawings, specifications and method statements.
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers and subcontractors to resolve site issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and ensure workers wear PPE.
- Ensure construction works meet quality requirements and standards.
- Report unsafe practices, defects and delays to management.
- Monitor work progress and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Prepare daily/weekly site progress reports and submit to Project Manager and Project Secretary.
- Highlight site constraints, material shortage or manpower issues.
- Check and monitor materials delivered to site against specifications.
- Ensure proper storage, handling and usage of materials.
- Manage tools, equipment and resources efficiently.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and briefings with site workers.
- Liaise with consultants, clients and authorities when required.
- Provide clear instructions to workers and subcontractors.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum diploma in civil engineering, construction management or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of working experience in construction supervision.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings and specifications.
- Familiar with site safety requirements and regulations.
- Good communication, leadership and problem solving skills.
- Able to work at project sites and under tight schedules.
