Job description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the project manager and project team with project safety matter and construction supervision efforts.

Core Job Scope and Responsibilities
Compliance & Enforcement
  • Ensuring the site and all activities comply with all relevant local and national safety legislation (e.g., OSHA), company policies, and project-specific safety plans.
  • Enforcing safe work practices and procedures among employees and subcontractors.
Inspections & Risk Management
  • Conducting daily site inspections and safety patrols to identify potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts.
  • Performing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) to mitigate hazards before work begins.
  • Taking immediate action to correct any identified unsafe conditions or practices.
Training & Communication
  • Conducting safety induction training for new workers and daily toolbox talks to brief workers on potential risks and safe work methods.
  • Advising and guiding the project team, employees, and subcontractors on various safety-related topics.
  • Preparing and presenting weekly or monthly safety performance reports.
Incident Management
  • Leading or assisting in the investigation and reporting of all incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Managing and coordinating site-specific emergency response plans and drills.
Documentation & Equipment
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all safety inspections, training sessions, incidents, and safety documents.
  • Inspecting and monitoring the usage and maintenance of all safety equipment, tools, machinery, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
