Job summary

Hock Peng Realty Sdn Bhd seeks a Safety and Health Officer (SHO) to develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies across sites in Malaysia. You will conduct site inspections, organize toolbox talks, and ensure workers and subcontractors follow PPE requirements.

You will investigate accidents, liaise with DOSH/JKKP, maintain records, and assist with emergency planning. Minimum 2–5 years of SHO experience, Green Book holder, and solid knowledge of OSHA 1994 and FMA 1967 are required.

Qualifications

• Min 2-5 years working experience as SHO.
• Green Book Holder by DOSH/JKKP is required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, and other relevant safety regulations.
• Familiarity with site safety hazards and risk mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to enforce safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies in compliance with regulations and company standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Organize and conduct safety training programs and toolbox talks for workers.
• Ensure workers and subcontractors adhere to safety protocols and use PPE appropriately.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.
• Liaise with DOSH and CIDB to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain documentation of safety policies, risk assessments, and incident reports.
• Assist in emergency response planning and conduct regular drills.
• Advise management on best practices for occupational safety.
