Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, monitoring, and controlling daily construction activities to ensure work progresses on schedule.
  • Supervise and coordinate site operations, including monitoring subcontractor performance and resource allocation.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Raise and track RFIs (Requests for Information) in case of drawing discrepancies or conflicts and coordinate with consultants and designers for clarification.
  • Maintain strict adherence to quality control procedures and document control processes on site.
  • Monitor site safety practices and housekeeping in compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
  • Prepare and submit timely site progress reports, site diaries, and documentation for internal management and client presentations.
  • Attend site meetings, client meetings, and coordination meetings to provide technical input and updates on progress.
  • Support the preparation and verification of site measurements, variation orders, and claims.
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities to ensure timely approvals and inspections.
  • Undertake any ad-hoc assignments and instructions from Project Manager or senior management as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in building or infrastructure projects (fresh graduates with internship experience in construction are welcome to apply for junior roles).
  • Familiarity with construction methods, practices, and site management processes.
  • Skills: Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project scheduling tools.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Added Advantage: Possession of CIDB Green Card, knowledge of ISO standards and work safety requirements.
