KK Group of Companies (Retail) is recruiting for a Shop Assistant to join KK SUPER MART Wisma MCA in Kuala Lumpur. You will deliver excellent customer service, maintain shelves and assist in daily retail operations.

You will greet customers, restock merchandise, process transactions, and uphold store cleanliness and safety. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, with strong communication and reliability valued.

Shop Assistant (Full Time, KK SUPER MART Wisma MCA (MCA)

About the role

We are recruiting for a Shop Assistant to join our team at KK SUPER MART Wisma MCA in Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position where you will play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service and maintaining our retail operations. As a Shop Assistant, you will be the face of our store, ensuring that every customer receives a welcoming experience whilst our shelves remain well-stocked and our store remains clean and organised. This position is essential to our day-to-day success and contributes directly to customer satisfaction and sales performance.

What you'll be doing

Providing outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering queries and assisting with their shopping needs

Restocking shelves with merchandise, ensuring products are displayed neatly and facing forward according to company standards

Operating the till accurately and processing transactions in a courteous and efficient manner

Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic store environment by tidying shelves, sweeping floors and removing clutter

Assisting with stock checks and inventory management as required

Handling customer complaints professionally and escalating issues to management when necessary

Supporting promotional activities and ensuring price labels and promotional materials are correctly displayed

Following all health and safety regulations and company policies at all times

What we're looking for

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help customers

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Reliability and punctuality with the flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays

Basic numeracy skills for handling cash and processing transactions

Physical ability to lift and carry stock, stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation

Positive attitude and willingness to learn
