A logistics company in Malaysia is seeking a professional to plan and coordinate daily shipments across various channels such as sea, air, and land. The successful candidate will manage documentation and ensure compliance with Malaysian customs regulations. Responsibilities include liaising with freight providers for rates and resolving shipping-related issues efficiently. The role requires excellent communication skills and experience in logistics or supply chain management.
Plan, schedule and coordinate daily shipments (export/import) via sea, air and land freight
Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines and trucking companies to obtain competitive rates and secure booking space
Prepare and issue shipping documents including Bill of Lading (BL), Shipping Instructions and Packing Lists
Coordinate with the warehouse and production teams to ensure timely readiness of outbound shipments
Ensure all export and import documentation is accurate and compliant with Malaysian customs (K1, K2, K8 forms) and international trade laws
Handle documentation for shipments to other countries including Certificates of Origin (COO), duty drawback and any preferential trading scheme documents
Verify import documents from suppliers and ensure smooth customs clearance for incoming raw materials
Act as the primary logistics contact between Malaysia operations and HQ supply chain/ logistics team in Taiwan
Provide timely shipments updates, documentation and tracking information to HQ and relevant stakeholders
Resolve any shipping-related issues, delays or discrepancies in coordination with HQ team and service providers
Monitor and control shipping costs, verify freight invoices and ensure charges are accurate
Maintain accurate and up to date records of all shipments, documentation and freight costs
Assist in logistics related reporting for management review
