Job summary

A leading confectionery company in Klang City is looking for a Shipping Coordinator to manage logistics and shipments. You will ensure timely deliveries, handle documentation, and liaise with various parties to streamline shipping processes. Candidates should possess at least a Diploma and have some experience in a similar role. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required, while Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of working exposure or experience in a similar role is an advantage.
• Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Organized and systematic with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and arrange for all shipments and ensure timely deliveries.
• Supervise all procedures and documentation related to shipments.
• Liaise with importers, forwarders, transporters, and government agencies.

Job Description

• To plan, co-ordinate and arrange for all shipments and ensuring timely deliveries.
• To handle, co-ordinate, supervise all procedures and documentation pertaining to shipments, including liaising with production, warehouse, freight forwarders and shipping liners.
• To liaise with Importer, Forwarders, Transporters, and other government agencies related to shipping and other logistic requirements.
• To prepare invoice, packing list, BL when a shipment is confirmed and to be delivered.
• To fulfil any other tasks as and when assigned by superior.
• To process order received from customer.
• Sourcing & comparing freight charge for best price in order to maintain shipping budget and cost.
• Application of required permit eg. MITI’s COO, FMM’s COO and other require documents.
• Ensuring the accuracy of Harmonized System Code (HS Code) during custom declaration process.
• Arrange and monitor containers in-out on timely manner.

Job Requirement

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma/Bachelor's Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Professional Degree in any field.
• Those with 1 to 2 years of working exposure or experience in a similar role will have an advantage
• Able to speak in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to speak in Mandarin will be an added advantage
• Organized, Systematic with excellent attention to detail and good at problem solving
