Job summary

A logistics solutions provider in Malaysia seeks a Shipping and Logistic Executive to oversee local and international logistics operations. Applicants should possess a Diploma/Degree in Logistics or related fields, with 3-5 years of relevant experience in customs clearance. Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus. Shipping and Logistic Executive (import/export)

Manage local and international logistics operations, ensuring efficient import/export processes and timely deliveries.

Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, port and customs authorities, and other logistics partners to facilitate the clearance and delivery of goods.

Prepare, verify, and process all necessary documentation, such as customs declarations, invoices, packing list, HS Codes, bills of lading and certificate of origin.

Track and update the status of shipments, identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the logistics process.

Provide support and guidance to other team members as required.

Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar logistics, import/export, customs clearance role with knowledge of LMW licensing will be an added advantage.
  • Thorough understanding of import/export regulations (local & international), familiar with HS Codes, customs clearance procedures, and other relevant logistics processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Mandarin speaking is an added advantage to working with China teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
