Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Malaysia seeks a Production Manager to oversee production shifts, ensure quality standards, and lead a diverse team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Food Technology or related fields, with at least three years of experience in food manufacturing, particularly in coffee and liquid processing. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential, along with knowledge of ISO, HACCP, and SAP. This role requires working on rotating shifts and ensuring compliance with all safety and quality systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in the food manufacturing industry, preferably in coffee and liquid product processing.
• Ability to work on rotating shifts.
• Strong knowledge of ISO, FSSC, HACCP, and GMP.

Job Responsibilities

• Fully responsible for managing the assigned production shift as directed by the Head of Production-Process, to achieve production targets while ensuring product quality and compliance with established standards. Accountable for enforcing discipline, safety regulations, and good housekeeping practices. Ensure effective implementation and compliance with food safety and quality systems, including Halal, HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001:2015 and customer-specific quality requirements.
• Effectively organize, lead, and manage shift manpower to drive operational efficiency and ensure full compliance with SEDEX standards and labour laws
• Achieve production attainment, efficiency, yield targets, and required product quality standards
• Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot, analyse, and resolve plant breakdowns
• Train, develop, motivate, and discipline subordinates to achieve high performance and accountability
• Monitor material inventory levels and ensure inventory accuracy
• Prepare production reports and manage SAP process order transactions accurately and on time to support production operations
• Perform any responsibilities assigned by the Head of Production-Process

Job Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science or Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the food manufacturing industry, with preference for candidates experienced in coffee and liquid product processing
• Ability to work on rotating shifts
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team
• Proactive and resourceful, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skill
• Knowledge of ISO, FSSC, HACCP and GMP
• Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office is an advantage
