The SMF Specialist supports the SMF Team Lead in driving sales and business development for Share Margin Financing (SMF).
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Build a strong NTB sales pipeline and drive Share Margin Financing utilization through product awareness across multiple channels.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with brokers, dealers, remisiers, and clients through consistent, high-quality service.
- Handle and resolve customer complaints effectively, ensuring timely follow‑up and issue closure.
- Support and promote the Bank’s marketing campaigns to boost NTB acquisition and SMF usage.
- Conduct regular visits to external brokers, branches, and Priority Banking Centres (monthly or quarterly as required).
- Provide product managers with updates on client feedback, marginable listings, and competitor activities.
- Cross‑sell and refer a wide range of banking products (CASA, Mortgage, Hire Purchase, Personal Loans, Credit Cards).
Training
- To support and conduct product training/briefing to panel of external brokers/branch personal bankers/RWM relationship managers/Branch Managers on SMF and other Wealth Asset Financing products.
- Undertake ad‑hoc tasks assigned by Head of Department.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate and build strong working relationships within Regional Wealth Management and other business partners such as Branches, Regional offices and stakeholders in Head Office.
- Provide accurate, valid, complete and latest information to internal and external stakeholders.
Compliance
- Support and assist Head of Wealth Asset Financing and Team Lead, SMF in audit and compliance related matters for the SMF, in line with the Bank’s internal policy, standards and procedures and other regulatory requirements.
Skills & Experience We Are Looking For:
- Minimum Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Studies or Marketing.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in Global Markets, Stockbroking and Wealth Management is a plus.
