Job summary
A leading electrical services company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to install, maintain, and troubleshoot UPS systems. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of hands-on experience. Responsibilities include conducting preventive maintenance, providing support for service calls, and coordinating with project teams. A strong understanding of compliance standards and willingness to travel for fieldwork is essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, and commission UPS systems, PDUs, Busway, and associated electrical systems at customer sites.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot system faults to ensure uptime and performance.
- Support service calls and emergency interventions for power system failures or alarms.
- Assist project teams during implementation, ensuring all electrical work aligns with design and compliance standards.
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and customer feedback.
- Provide training and handover support to customers post-installation.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for spare parts, upgrades, and technical support.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering.
- 3+ years hands-on experience in installation and maintenance of UPS systems, PDUs, or electrical distribution systems.
- Familiarity with major UPS brands is a strong advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Strong understanding of safety and compliance standards (e.g., IEC, local electrical codes).
- Willingness to travel and perform fieldwork at customer locations.
- Good problem-solving skills and a customer-service mindset.
