About the Opportunity

The Principal Services Consultant guides the overall design and delivery of the Dayforce HCM solution to meet customer requirements and provides oversight and direction to project team members across all stages of the implementation lifecycle. This role works closely with the Project Manager to plan the project, identify critical dependencies, facilitate requirements gathering, design the Dayforce solution, manage customer expectations, oversee configuration, and identify and communicate risks.

What You’ll Get to Do
  • Analyze and understand customer requirements, pain points, and business objectives to design effective Dayforce HCM solutions.
  • Ensure proposed solutions align with industry best practices and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Conduct workshops and meetings to elicit requirements, gather feedback, and present solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support seamless and integrated solution delivery.
  • Work with Project Managers to estimate effort, define timelines, and identify design and implementation risks.
  • Stay current with new Dayforce features and releases to optimize solution recommendations.
  • Provide technical expertise to internal teams and customers during implementation and hypercare.
  • Review and validate solution designs to ensure alignment with expectations and business needs.
  • Conduct testing and validation to confirm solutions meet objectives and resolve testing issues.
  • Recommend improvements to methodologies, documentation, and implementation processes.
  • Share best practices and lessons learned across the team.
  • Design and document solutions and contribute to a solutions repository.
  • Lead SME programs in areas such as Payroll, Benefits, or WFM.
  • Participate in internal process improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, support Continuing Education, and lead best-practice sessions.
  • Complete new release training and stay fully versed in new functionality.
  • Mentor consultants on best-practice implementation and solution design.
  • Support the sales cycle with solution reviews, scoping, estimation, and prospect discussions.
Skills and Experience We Value
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Master’s degree or postgraduate coursework an asset.
  • 10+ years of experience in HCM applications consulting.
  • 5+ years as a Dayforce HCM Consultant.
  • Strong business process mapping experience.
  • Experience in change management is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Expertise in SaaS/Cloud environments and HRIS applications.
  • Understanding of relational databases and SQL is an asset.
  • Experience with applications such as Salesforce, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Kronos, Workbrain/Infor, RedPrairie/JDA, Ultimate, Oracle HR/Payroll, iChris, or Preceda.
  • Ability to implement all Dayforce HCM modules.
  • Expert knowledge of HCM business practices.
  • Deep Dayforce product expertise in at least two modules (Payroll, WSS, T&A, Leave, etc.).
  • Strong customer relationship skills and business acumen.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and customers with competing priorities.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead workshops and mentor junior consultants.
  • Ability to provide scoping and solution guidance during the sales cycle.
