An automotive services company in Malaysia is seeking a Service Manager/After-sales Manager to oversee workshop operations. The role involves leading a team, ensuring service quality, and achieving KPIs. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in a relevant field and extensive experience in automotive aftersales management. Strong leadership and communication skills are vital for this position.
Job Summary: Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service workshop, ensuring optimal productivity, service quality, and customer satisfaction. The role involves managing staff performance, maintaining operational standards, and achieving business targets.
Lead the branch team to achieve or exceed set targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Organize and coordinate daily workshop activities, ensuring efficient work distribution among service staff.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of all service personnel to ensure high-quality workmanship and service standards.
Conduct regular operational briefings with the service team to streamline workflow and enhance efficiency.
Handle customer issues and resolve complex or escalated complaints promptly and professionally.
Maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction and uphold a positive company image.
Ensure the service premises are maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition in accordance with 5S standards.
Ensure the team adheres to warranty, policy, and procedural guidelines set by principals and management.
Oversee and support administrative functions related to workshop and branch operations.
Manage overall branch operations and undertake ad‑hoc tasks or projects assigned by senior management.
Education: Diploma or Degree in Automotive Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
Experience: Extensive experience in managing an automotive/EV/luxury car aftersales or service workshop, preferably within an authorized dealership environment.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective engagement with staff and customers.
Good organizational and administrative capabilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and dealership management systems.
Other Requirements: Willingness to travel interstate for business purposes when required.
