Job summary

Wonderchat is seeking a hybrid writer-editor to own day-to-day production and editing of our AI and SaaS content. Target is about 10 articles per month, including writing from scratch and editing AI-assisted drafts into publishable pieces, with a focus on strong arguments, original examples, and human voice.

In this small team, you’ll shape topics, improve editorial standards, and ensure content aligns with clear search intent and structure for readers and search engines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience writing or editing for a B2B, SaaS, technology, or similarly technical audience.
• Portfolio of published work.
• Experience managing and editing blog content.
• Ability to substantially improve average drafts beyond proofreading.
• Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals, including search intent, structure, internal linking, and on-page optimization.
• Comfort using AI writing tools as part of the content workflow.
• Good judgment about AI-generated content being generic, inaccurate, or boring.
• Ability to research unfamiliar technical topics independently.
• Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously.

Responsibilities

• Write original articles covering AI, chatbots, customer support, SaaS, and adjacent topics
• Edit approximately 8 AI-assisted drafts per month into publication-ready articles
• Restructure weak arguments, remove filler, improve clarity, and strengthen the overall narrative
• Fact-check technical and industry claims before publication
• Add useful examples, comparisons, statistics, screenshots, and other supporting material
• Maintain a consistent Wonderchat voice across everything published
• Write case studies and occasional website or landing-page copy
• Help develop and improve editorial standards over time
• Write and edit content around clear search intent and structure articles for both readers and search engines
• Source or create useful visuals for articles, capture product screenshots, and create simple diagrams or visual explanations

Our customers find us through traditional search and, increasingly, through AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity. SEO and AEO content are important parts of how we grow.

We're looking for someone who can help us produce genuinely useful content that ranks, gets cited, and is worth reading.

About the role

You'll own the day-to-day production and editing of Wonderchat's written content. This is a hybrid writer and editor role where you need to be comfortable doing both. Your target is approximately 10 articles per month, typically writing around 2 articles from scratch and editing approximately 8 AI-assisted drafts into publishable pieces. You'll be expected to identify weak arguments, remove generic writing, restructure articles, fact-check claims, add original examples, and turn rough drafts into content that feels thoughtful and human. As a small team, you'll also have input into what we publish, what topics are worth pursuing, and how we can improve our content strategy over time.
