Job summary

A leading apparel company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Visual Merchandiser to align visual merchandising strategies with the company's objectives. The ideal candidate will ensure all executions follow company standards while being aware of regional preferences. Responsibilities include creating presentations and analyzing sales data to optimize displays. Fluency in Mandarin is a must, and experience with retail brands like Uniqlo or H&M is preferred. The role offers an annual salary starting at RM 62,800, excluding bonuses.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree qualification.
• Proven experience in apparel retail visual merchandising is preferred.
• Fluency in Mandarin (both spoken and written) is mandatory to communicate with headquarters.
• Presentable, fashion-conscious, and detail-oriented with a strong sense of visual aesthetics.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Able to travel extensively within Malaysia in accordance with business requirements.
• Candidates with experience in Uniqlo, Zara, H&M, Cotton On, Padini, or other retail fashion brands are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Support overall business growth by aligning visual merchandising strategies with the company’s objectives and brand direction.
• Ensure all visual merchandising executions follow company standards, including directives provided via photographs, visual campaign books, and guidelines from headquarters. Adapt or localize displays appropriately to suit regional market preferences while maintaining brand integrity.
• Create and present PowerPoint recaps of store visits and visual executions for reporting to headquarters.
• Plan, implement, and maintain window and in-store visual displays to maximize commercial impact.
• Analyze weekly sales performance and inventory data to optimize product placement — focusing on best‑sellers, slow‑movers, and high‑stock items.
• Support visual and display executions for store openings, seasonal campaigns, and promotional events across the region.
• Monitor competitor visual strategies and retail trends to ensure HLA maintains a competitive edge.
• Participate in regular visual merchandising training sessions provided by headquarters.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned (if needed).
