Overview

The Senior Video Editors work on various projects including films, television shows, commercials, corporate videos, and online content. We are looking for individuals with expertise in video editing software, storytelling techniques and visual effects shape the final look and feel of each final product. Attention to detail, strong communication skills and a passion for visual storytelling are helpful characteristics to apply in this field.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience producing and editing high-impact video content, ideally within wellness, education, healthcare, or mission-driven organisations.

Relevant degree or diploma. Consider enrolling in a film production, media studies or multimedia design-related degree program for a solid grounding in video editing techniques, storytelling principles, and industry-standard software.

Experience in Assistant Video Editor, Production Assistant or Video Production.

Familiar with professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Compose to learn colour grading, audio editing, visual effects and motion graphics that may elevate the quality of your edits.

Develop a portfolio showcasing your best work. Include various video projects that demonstrate your creativity, technical skill set, and ability to tell captivating visual stories through images.

Be up to date with the latest techniques, software updates, and workshops in video editing.

Task and Duties

Organise and manage raw footage, audio files, and other media assets.

Assemble and edit video footage to create a cohesive and compelling story.

Trim, rearrange and refine video sequences to enhance flow and pacing.

Incorporate visual effects, graphics, and animations to enhance the overall visual appeal.

Collaborate with Directors, Producers, and clients to understand their vision and requirements.

Select and incorporate suitable music, sound effects, and voiceovers to enhance the narrative.

Continuously review and improve edited videos based on feedback and creative direction.

Plan creative content, prepare a logically storyboard and shoot effective scenes.

Capture studio-quality photographs and video.

Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity.

Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the video.

Input music, dialogue, graphics and effects.

Manage and oversee all technical aspects of video recording and editing.

Work with Ibnu Sina Wellness creative teammates.

Collaborate regularly with marketing team.

Follow the Ibnu Sina Wellness's brand guidelines.

Create rough and final cuts.

Discuss project timeline, narrative structure, story goals and more with the Brand Manager as the project is edited.

Present to Brand Manager and Chairwoman.

Develop an overall video brand messaging strategy.
