Senior Tooling Engineer (Metal Stamping)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tooling Engineer (Metal Stamping) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal stamping and tooling technology, combined with leadership capabilities to drive project success. This role requires expertise in tooling performance, troubleshooting, and a collaborative approach to achieving high-quality, efficient production.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Production and Engineering Departments to continuously improve quality and efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership to the tooling team, ensuring effective and timely project execution.
• Assign tasks and manage priorities based on production requirements.
• Identify training needs and lead efforts to upskill the department staff.
• Manage projects from concept through to final manufacture, ensuring alignment with production goals.
• Work collectively with cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives of high-quality production with minimal costs.
• Train and supervise the Tooling and R&D teams to ensure optimal tooling performance and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Metal Stamping, Tool & Die) or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the metal stamping industry.
• Proven skills in Tool Servicing, Tool Assembly, Tool Troubleshooting, and operating tooling fabrication and stamping machines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with practical experience in applying SPC tools.
• In-depth knowledge of metal stamping, tooling technology, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
