A leading global company in Malaysia seeks an experienced Senior Technician in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning. The role involves performing maintenance on refrigeration and air conditioning systems, supervising junior staff, and strict adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience, relevant education, and is solution-oriented. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PPM) and corrective maintenance (CM) on low-temperature systems, including Cold Rooms, Freezer Rooms, and Chillers.
Diagnose and resolve complex faults in refrigeration components such as compressors, condensers, thermal expansion valves (TXV), and digital temperature controls.
Oversee and execute maintenance work for various AC units (Split Units, FCU, AHU) and general ventilation systems.
Proficient in 3-phase wiring, troubleshooting control panels, and general mechanical maintenance (water pumps, motors, fans).
Supervise and mentor Junior Technicians on site and ensure strict adherence to safety standards (OSHA).
Prepare detailed reports on faults, repair work performed, and spare parts usage.
Qualifications
Minimum Certificate/Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technology or a related Mechanical Engineering field.
At least 5 years of practical working experience as a Technician, with proven specific experience in Commercial Refrigeration (Cold Room / Chiller).
Proficient in refrigerant handling, low-temperature refrigeration cycles, and the installation/repair of cold room sandwich panels and doors.
Possesses a valid driving license (GDL/Car) and own transportation (an advantage).
Solution-oriented, able to be on-call, and willing to work overtime as per operational needs.
