A leading pharmaceutical company in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Technician for the Glenmarie site. This position involves overseeing equipment maintenance and ensuring production efficiency. Candidates should have a diploma in relevant fields and experience in maintenance, preferably within the pharmaceutical or semiconductor sectors. Competitive contract terms with the potential for permanent placement based on performance.
This position is for a Senior Technician, Engineering based at the Glenmarie site. The role will be offered on a 6-month contract basis initially, with the opportunity to be converted to a permanent position subject to performance and business needs. The position requires shift work and overtime (OT) as part of operational requirements.
Ensure production machines are operating in good condition by performing preventive maintenance and calibration according to schedule and in compliance with approved SOPs.
Liaise and coordinate with end users on all planned and unplanned maintenance or calibration activities, ensuring proper acknowledgment.
Attend to equipment breakdowns promptly and provide technical support to minimize downtime and maintain smooth production operations.
Oversee installation, troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, calibration, and spare parts management of cGMP-compliant equipment and devices.
Work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure seamless execution of maintenance tasks and timely resolution of technical issues.
Monitor and supervise vendor activities at the Glenmarie site, ensuring work aligns with purchase orders and site requirements.
Support improvement or modification works with relevant departments when needed.
Ensure accurate documentation of checklists and maintain proper filing for audit readiness and traceability.
Source and evaluate quotations, prepare cost comparisons, and assess risks during procurement and vendor selection processes.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas in accordance with 5S standards, and comply with safety and health rules.
Ensure all financial documents are organized, complete, and traceable for audit purposes.
Perform any other duties assigned by management in line with operational needs.
