Job summary

Job description
SENIOR TECHNICIAN - CONTROL AND INSTRUMENTATION

Support C&I operations by ensuring reliable system performance through troubleshooting, maintenance, and improvement of plant control systems (e.g., GSR, ASM, CDS, APM, PLCs, sensors). Assist with ISO9001/GMP, safety, and SOP compliance. Provide technical guidance and support skill transfer to junior technicians to maintain team effectiveness.

Maintenance & Operations
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance for all plant C&I systems and components (e.g., GSR, ASM, CDS, APM, glove puller, vision systems, PLCs, sensors).
  • Perform daily inspections, checklists, tuning, calibration, and alignment per schedule and accuracy requirements.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, ensuring fast recovery and minimal downtime.
  • Assist with new system installation, setup, testing, and commissioning.
  • Troubleshoot faults in PLCs, sensors, and instrumentation systems across production lines, utilities, compounding, and machinery.
  • Ensure system performance aligns with operational standards and quality requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Record repair activities, parts usage, and system status in shift reports.
  • Assist supervisor in maintaining maintenance checklists, duty rosters, and documentation updates.
Technical Support & Knowledge Transfer
  • Learn and enhance system knowledge to support operational efficiency.
  • Support skill transfer by conducting training for junior technicians.
  • Cover supervisory functions during emergency or absence.
Compliance & Safety
  • Adhere to engineering SOPs, ISO standards, Lotto, 5S practices, and safety protocols.
  • Observe good health, safety, and housekeeping in all activities.
  • Comply with scheduled waste management and quality system procedures.
Cost & Performance Management
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
  • Keep spare part usage within budget.
  • Contribute to achieving plant KPIs: CSI, OEE, line breakdown reduction, and rejection rate targets.
  • Participate in Kaizen activities to drive system efficiency and reduce operational defects.
  • Contribute to 5S and improvement projects in workshop and production areas.
  • Support other plant maintenance teams when required.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned within job scope.
  • Ready for on-call duties and shift rotation.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Certificate/ Diploma in Electrical, Control Instrumentation, Mechatronic Engineering or Equivalent.
  • Min 2 years experience in C&I field.
  • Skilled in PLC (Siemens/Fatek), basic wiring, loop drawings, sensor/mechanical installation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and technical accuracy.
  • Able to work under pressure, follow company rules, and complete assigned tasks.
  • High cooperation, responsible, with a positive attitude.
  • Experience in production line maintenance, 5S, and workplace safety.
