Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Technical Lab Manager for a healthcare setting in Selangor, Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards in technical practices, overseeing operational policies, and participating in technical committees. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science or related fields and significant experience in medical laboratory testing, particularly in supervisory roles. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12–15 years' experience in medical laboratory testing field.
  • At least 5–6 years' experience in supervisory/management role.
  • Solid working knowledge in all required laboratory testing methodology and ISO15189.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Group technical standard and operational policies.
  • Provide assistance and support on technical issues.
  • Participate in the Technical Committee and provide necessary reports.

Job Responsibilities

Primarily responsible for Group technical standard and operational policies, quality control and assurance. Maintain close liaison with HQ main laboratory divisions, branches nationwide and regional branches on test results quality standards, provide assistance, trouble‑shoot and support on technical issues and matters and to ensure a high standard of technical excellence practices in the Group. To participate in the Technical Committee and provide the necessary report, advise and consul and follow‑ups on decisions and recommendations made in the technical Committee.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Science, Biochemistry or related qualifications.
  • Evidence of continuing education, such as certifications, a plus.
  • Minimum 12–15 years' experience in medical laboratory testing field.
  • At least 5–6 years' experience in supervisory/management role.
  • Ability to work in high pressure, deadline driven work environment.
  • Exceptional communication and reporting skills,
  • Solid working knowledge in all required laboratory testing methodology and ISO15189.
  • Outstanding leadership skills and ability to plan, co‑ordinate, monitor and hands‑on approach to carry out tasks and responsibilities effectively.
