Job summary

A leading recruitment consultancy is seeking a Senior System Administrator - Cloud Systems to manage Azure and Oracle Cloud infrastructures. You'll be responsible for ensuring database performance and collaborating with stakeholders on system improvements. Candidates should have a degree in IT and 3-4 years of relevant experience. This is an onsite role located in Biyagama, Malaysia.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology with minimum 3-4 years working experience in supporting business applications.
• Any relevant Industry Certifications would be a plus.
• Experience engineering, administering, and managing multiple relational database flavors.
• Experience with large scale transformational/business process reengineering projects.
• Experience with other related ERP products and integrations.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Azure Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Work with vendors and suppliers to manage services related to cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor the performance, health, and scalability of cloud resources.

ERP System Administration

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and the ERP development team to manage system-wide updates, patches, and upgrades for ERP systems.
• Troubleshoot issues related to ERP applications hosted on cloud infrastructure.

Relational Database Management

• Manage and troubleshoot relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle Database) on cloud platforms.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all databases.
• Implement and manage virtualization technologies such as VMware and containerization solutions.
• Oversee network infrastructure to ensure proper communication between cloud environments and internal systems.

System Design & Failover/Backup Solutions

• Verify current and future infrastructure design and setup for deployment processes, failover/backup systems, and testing solutions.
• Ensure all failover and disaster recovery plans are in place and functional.

Security & Compliance Management

• Implement and enforce IT security best practices across cloud systems.
• Ensure compliance with internal security policies and relevant industry standards.

Autonomation Projects

• Lead autonomation projects to enhance infrastructure performance, security, and efficiency.
• Integrate automation solutions into deployment, backup, and monitoring processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on cloud infrastructure, ERP management, and system improvements.
• Facilitate communication between IT teams and business departments for ongoing projects.

Additional Responsibility

• Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management.
