The Senior Student Recruitment Specialist is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive recruitment strategies for WEPS programs.
This position focuses on recruiting fresh graduates, final‑year university students, unemployed, under employed, etc. The role involves fostering university and industry partnerships, conducting webinars, campus talks, and career fairs, driving awareness of WEPS programs to meet enrolment goals, and other tasks as assigned. This role also involves coordination and facilitating job placement.
The role requires someone proactive, independent, and able to take full ownership of both strategic planning and hands‑on execution of recruitment and outreach initiatives.
Plan, manage, and execute comprehensive student recruitment strategies to achieve enrolment targets.
Conduct campus engagement activities such as webinars, talks, information sessions, and career fairs.
Coordinate booth setup, logistics, and materials for on‑campus or public recruitment events.
Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment process — from lead generation, screening, to enrolment.
Build and maintain relationships with university career centres, faculties, and student affairs departments.
Represent WEPS at all external events and partnership activities.
Lead all promotional initiatives related to student recruitment.
Create awareness campaigns on social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
Design simple digital posters or visuals.
Develop engaging content such as student success stories, short videos, and event recaps.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between recruitment, training, and placement efforts.
Maintain and update student recruitment databases.
Track and report recruitment progress, leads, conversions, and event performance.
Provide data‑driven insights and recommendations to improve future recruitment campaigns.
Prepare comprehensive recruitment and attendance performance reports, along with any additional reports requested by management.
Establish and strengthen collaborations with higher education institutions (HEIs) across Malaysia.
Explore new partnership opportunities for continuous talent pipelines.
Work closely with program and training teams to coordinate student onboarding.
Supervise and mentor junior team members and interns to ensure smooth execution of recruitment activities.
Take initiative to improve WEPS’s visibility and reputation among students and HEIs.
Must be willing to travel nationwide and occasionally work on weekends for events.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Education, Communications, Marketing, or related fields.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in student recruitment, education outreach, or similar roles.
Proven experience managing campus‑based recruitment events and student engagement programs.
Good understanding of Malaysia’s university ecosystem and graduate employment trends.
Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
Strong relationship‑building abilities with students, universities, and stakeholders.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (other language will be an advantage).
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and webinar tools (Zoom, Google Meet, MS Teams).
Basic knowledge of social media management and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva).
Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and travel nationwide for campus activities.
