We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Staff Nurse / Staff Nurse to join our Paediatrics department. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients, collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, and support families through every stage of care. This role demands a compassionate approach, excellent clinical skills, and a passion for working with children.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and managing medical equipment.

Ensure the emotional and psychological well-being of children and their families.

Assist with diagnostic tests, procedures, and treatments as required.

Family Support:

Communicate effectively with families to educate and guide them about the child’s condition, treatment plans, and home care.

Address family concerns with empathy and provide emotional support.

Work closely with pediatricians, specialists, and the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure optimal patient care.

Health Monitoring:

Observe and assess changes in patients’ conditions and take immediate action when necessary.

Document and report patient progress and incidents accurately in the medical record system.

Compliance and Standards:

Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and healthcare standards to ensure patient safety.

Maintain strict infection control protocols in the pediatric unit.

Professional Development:

Participate in training programs, workshops, and seminars to stay updated on the latest pediatric nursing practices.

Mentor junior nurses and assist with their skill development.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Degree in Nursing (essential).

Valid nursing license from the relevant authority (e.g., Malaysian Nursing Board or equivalent).

Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric nursing.

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (preferred).
