Job summary

Altera in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Senior/Staff Applications Engineer to work with customers and field teams across geographies to enable design wins and close issues efficiently.

You will provide training on FPGA features, develop design examples on development kits, create documentation, and collaborate with design and engineering to improve user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, with at least 3 years' experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English.
• Independent with systematic debugging skills.
• Analytical with strong problem-solving and closure-oriented mindset.
• Experience in FPGA/CPLD, embedded systems, digital logic, RTL/Verilog/VHDL.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and training for FPGA features (Embedded IP, processors, flash, config).
• Develop and validate design examples on development kits.
• Create device handbooks, user guides, tutorials and app notes for FPGA features.
