Job summary

UTMSPACE is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on a project-based contract to design, develop and deliver enterprise-grade applications. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and hands-on experience across the full software lifecycle in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with SQL/MySQL/MongoDB, API integration, version control and DevOps basics, contribute to system architecture, and lead small modules with minimal supervision, communicating effectively in English and Malay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in software development, system design and application development.
• Experience delivering enterprise or web-based applications.
• Strong communication in English and Malay.

Possess a minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldfrom a recognized institution.

Minimum 2 years of experience in software development, system design, and application development, with proven experience in delivering enterprise or web-based applications.

Technical Technical skills and knowledge:

• A strong understanding of database design and management systems (SQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Experience in system analysis, requirement gathering and preparing technical documentation.
• Familiar with API integration, verison control and basic DevOps workflow.
• Able to design database structures and understand system architecture.

Additional Requirement:

• Able to lead small projects or modules with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills particularly in for complex coding and debugging.
• Good communication skill in both English and Malay.
• High level of adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
