Description

About the Role:

We're looking for an Senior Site Reliability/DevOps Engineer to join our hedge fund's technology team. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining our cloud infrastructure that powers our trading operations.

This role combines expertise in AWS architecture, database administration, and system monitoring to ensure our platform operates at peak performance 24/7.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles
  • Design and maintain high-performance database systems
  • Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems
  • Optimize system performance and reduce latency
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery processes
  • Handle security configurations and access management
  • Provide on-call support for critical infrastructure
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Collaborate with trading teams to understand and support their infrastructure needs

Requirements

Must Have:

  • 5+ years hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, EKS, VPC, IAM)
  • Strong experience in infrastructure automation using Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Proven experience managing and optimizing
  • Expertise in monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog or equivalent)
  • Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices
  • Experience handling production incidents and on-call responsibilities

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in financial services or trading environments
  • AWS Professional certifications
  • Knowledge of blockchain technologies and exchange APIs
  • Experience with high-frequency trading infrastructure
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools
