Job summary

A construction company in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan is looking for an experienced site supervisor to oversee site operations, manage subcontractors, and resolve any construction issues. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of full-time supervision experience in civil engineering and a valid driving license. Flexibility with working hours is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise site operation and work progress.
• Liaise with sub-con on works sequence, quality, manpower, and material usage.
• Resolve construction technical matters and discrepancies.
• Attend client-consultant and site meetings.
• Monitor and schedule material deliveries and machinery mobilization.
• Assist Project Manager with preparation of construction programs.
• Liaise with consultants and clients for detailed drawings and specifications.
• Prepare correspondence with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Conduct progress claim evaluations with consultant QS.
• Verify site progress claims by main contractors and NSCs.
• Assist in managing defective complaints during Defect Liability Period.
• Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary.
• Be an independent and team player.

Education

Certificate / Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent

Job description

Candidate must possess at least Certificate / Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years of full time site supervision experience.

Willing to work at Rembau, Negeri Sembilan.

Valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• To supervise site operation and work progress.
• To liaise with sub-con on the works sequent, quality of work, manpower, material usage and machinery usage.
• To resolve construction technical matters and problems, discrepancy of drawing.
• To attend to client-consultant meetings and site meetings and sub-con coordination meeting and to prepare monthly report.
• To monitor and to schedule materials deliver, machinery mobilization and small equipment.
• To assist Project Manager for preparation of construction program.
• To liaise with consultants and clients for detailed drawing, specification and variation orders.
• To prepare correspondence/memorandum to clients, consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers.
• To conduct progress claim evaluation with consultant QS and assist in making claims for progress payment.
• To verify and attend to site progress claim evaluation by main contractors and NSCs.
• To assist in managing and resolving the defective complaints raised by client or purchasers during Defect Liability Period.
• To undertake any assignment to be given by the management from time to time as decided by the management.
• Flexibility to work extended and non-standard working hours when required (Standard working hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm).
