Job summary

Tentacle Tech is seeking a high-calibre Senior SIEM Engineer to own and scale a large-scale SIEM ecosystem within the finance sector. This platform-first role requires architecting, tuning, and end-to-end operation across on-prem, cloud, or hybrid environments.

You will lead detection engineering, optimize alert quality, and collaborate with SOC teams to improve incident response workflows while mentoring junior engineers and acting as a technical authority for SIEM incidents.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering, SIEM engineering, or large-scale security monitoring platforms.
• Proven experience supporting 24x7 SOC environments and high-volume log ingestion.
• Demonstrated ownership of SIEM architecture, performance tuning, and detection engineering.
• Strong understanding of SOC operations, incident response workflows, and high-fidelity detection design.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and operate a large-scale SIEM platform across on-prem, cloud, or hybrid environments.
• Own performance tuning and capacity planning, including EPS/TPS modeling, search concurrency, and workload management.
• Onboard new log sources at scale across cloud, endpoint, network, identity, SaaS, and custom applications.
• Automate SIEM deployments, upgrades, configuration, and content management using IaC and CI/CD practices.
• Design, review, and optimize high-fidelity detection use cases aligned to MITRE ATT&CK.
• Partner with SOC teams to improve alert quality, investigation workflows, and triage effectiveness.
• Serve as the technical authority and escalation point for SIEM platform incidents, mentoring junior engineers along the way.
