A leading security management firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Security Manager to oversee security personnel and ensure safety protocols. The ideal candidate must have 2-3 years in security management, knowledge of security SOPs, and fluency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Responsibilities include monitoring facilities, preparing reports, and assisting in emergencies.

Responsible for ensuring the people's and property's safety and security by patrolling property, monitoring the outsourcing security guard performance and access control, enforcing the property house rules, safety and security procedures, recording daily activities, and executing the department policies and procedures.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Assist superior in supervising, leading, and deploying outsourced security personnel for daily routine tasks such as patrolling, clocking, monitoring, and checking all movements of contractors’ activities, and reporting on incidents.
  • Assist superior in liaising, coordinating, and resolving all parking and/or traffic-related matters including safety measures, handling of incidents, and protocols for the reception of VIP Guests to the mall.
  • Checking, monitoring and surveillance of mall common areas, rooftops, tenants’ lots, and landscape areas to ensure security, cleanliness, and proper upkeep of facilities, road surfaces, signages, display boxes, equipment, and well-being of trees and other plants. This shall include deployment and coordination of cleaning personnel and services.
  • Monitoring surveillance cameras to watch out for any disruptions or unlawful activities.
  • Handling footfall counting, and other administrative work at the security base assigned by superior.
  • Providing detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred to management.
  • Testing and monitoring security systems and reporting if there is any abnormality or breakdown.
  • Assist superior in the Mall’s emergency as on‑duty security and collaborate with superior for coordinating and deploying resources during ad‑hoc emergency situations such as flooding, unauthorized gathering/activities, and any other crisis at the mall.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the superior as and when necessary.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
  • SPM or higher qualifications in related field. Those with security control room operations experience is an added advantage.
  • 2-3 years in Security Management
  • Knowledge of Security SOP and Protocols
  • Knowledge of National/Local laws/rules & regulations
  • Knowledge of running the operations at FCC
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written & spoken)
  • Basic computer skills will be an added advantage.
  • Interpersonal/Public Relations and rapport skills
