A leading cybersecurity firm in Malaysia is looking for an experienced cybersecurity professional to design and manage security solutions, conduct vulnerability assessments, and collaborate with IT teams. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, 5-8 years of experience, and certifications like CISSP or CISM. Design, implement, and manage security solutions including firewalls, SIEMs, EDR, DLP, and other security tools.
Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits.
Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents in a timely manner.
Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards.
Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to ensure secure system configurations and deployments.
Perform root cause analysis of security breaches and provide actionable recommendations.
Lead the technical investigation of security incidents and prepare incident reports.
Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and practices.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
Participate in security awareness training and initiatives for the wider organization.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Minimum 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity roles.
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are preferred.
In-depth knowledge of network and system security, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.
Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm), vulnerability scanners, and forensic tools.
Familiarity with cloud security best practices (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Solid understanding of security frameworks (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001).
Experience in scripting or automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
