Your responsibilities
  • Managing the entire Trade Investments accrual and accounting for all business of RB with a full control on the rationale of variance vs approved budgets, evaluating ROI for the spends to recommend future actions, Partnership with business to optimize trade investments & maintaining a healthy balance sheet with proper justifications on accruals, etc.
  • Quarterly/ Monthly TMLV review & approvals with details of trade activities and explanation on variance vs latest Forecasts
  • Month end: Oversee Closing the Shipments (Basis the Distributor week cover), Trade spends for the month and closing the Net revenue in the system. Monthly trade investments variance reviews of actuals vs. forecast and to understand business reasons for variances.
  • Monthly/Quarterly closures with Account/channel heads of Trades spends accrual and accounting the same post approvals and sufficient documentation for the same.
  • Administrator & Owner of TPM/ (Vistex) System: Reconciling the Trade accruals in “Vistex Portal” and ensures the provision made in Vistex can be supported and explained with business activity level, able to show the over and under provision/spend by customers.
  • Review of distributor/ retailor stocks and engage with supply team to optimize the stock holdings. Also, work with the sales team to identify opportunities for clear SLOB/NEP. Strengthen control in trade returns charge to trade spend bucket and perform sufficient checks to minimize the activities.
  • Monthly Reporting of IMS, Customer/ Channel P&L and any other reports as necessary.
  • Managing the Monthly Balance sheet of Trade Spends accruals with proper supporting, Ageing of accruals, etc. Also, assist in audits for the Trade spends related GLs for internal/external audits.
  • Commercial Orientation and partnering sales and trade marketing on new initiatives, improvements and productivity projects
  • Support forecast for sales/Trade Investments by working closely with channel/ Account heads & assisting to accurately project the year/ LV.
  • Assist Business team in simulating P&Ls for promotions, cost benefit analysis for clearances, new listings and review them before it goes for next approval to Leadership team.
The experience we’re looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance and/or Accountancy from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in finance roles with FMCG industry
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Good excel skills and IT savvy. Knowledge of SAP would be an added advantage.
