Our Client:

We are partnering with a Swiss based MNC that specializes in engineering coating solutions. The company is expanding their Malaysia operations and looking for a Senior Sales Engineer as part of their strategic growth.

Responsibility:
  • Act as the main point of contact for both existing and new customers, providing technical consultation and commercial support.
  • Build and maintain long-term business relationships through regular customer visits, product presentations, and solution proposals.
  • Identify new business opportunities by understanding customer needs and market trends, while maintaining strong growth with existing accounts.
  • Conduct technical discussions to address customer challenges, propose appropriate solutions, and support after-sales issues when required.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations, ensuring timely and accurate communication with customers.
  • Document all customer activities and progress in CRM systems and maintain detailed visit and action reports.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments including engineering, quality, operations, and regional/global technical teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor market developments and competitor activities to develop counter-strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Participate in exhibitions, marketing activities, and industry events to enhance company visibility and strengthen customer engagement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Production Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or project-based solution selling, preferably within the coating, metalworking, tooling, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong technical understanding with the ability to translate complex solutions into customer value.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
