Job summary

B. Braun Group is seeking a Senior Engineer - Safety in Penang, Malaysia. You will drive health and safety policy, execute audits, and lead incident investigations to ensure regulatory compliance.

With 3+ years in scheduled waste management and a strong grasp of environmental regulations, you will mentor teams, maintain records, and coordinate safety training while ensuring readiness of first aid resources on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in scheduled waste management; CePSWaM certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations with site compliance.
• Good understanding of system/process safety and environmental risk management.

Responsibilities

• Implement the organisation's health and safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct safety audits and on-site inspections to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
• Investigate accidents, verify reports, and liaise with authorities to prevent recurrence.
• Recommend changes to processes to ensure compliance with safety policies and laws.
• Maintain and analyse records of injuries, illnesses, and absences to spot concerns.
• Educate and train the workforce on health and safety policies and standards.
• Select, train, and evaluate workplace safety officers to perform their roles.
• Ensure first aid supplies and resources are available per regulations.
