Job summary

Semtech Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior RF Test Engineer in Ipoh or Penang to support RF test development, data analysis, and optimization activities. You will collaborate with RF design, product engineering, and operations to enhance test efficiency and coverage across AMW and SIP lines.

The role requires 5+ years in RF test engineering within semiconductors, proficiency with Advantest V93K RFIM6/RFIM18, and strong skills in RF fundamentals, data analysis, and test automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years in RF test engineering within the semiconductor industry.
• Experience with automated RF test equipment (ATE) including Advantest V93K.
• Ability to interpret RF schematics, datasheets, and device specs.
• Strong understanding of RF fundamentals and mixed-signal testing.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; team player.

Responsibilities

• Lead RF test development for NPI programs from early sample stage through mass production release.
• Collaborate with RF design, product engineering, and operations to drive NPI milestones to Final Production Release.
• Develop and optimize RF ATE programs and test hardware for production and characterization testing.
• Analyze RF electrical specifications from datasheets to create detailed ATE test plans and improve RF test methodologies.
• Design RF probe and final test schematics; lead or participate in hardware reviews.
• Collect and analyze RF device performance data and establish test limits through temperature characterization.
