Job summary

An established retail company in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Retail Manager to lead and motivate the retail team to achieve sales targets and ensure excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has a Diploma in Business Management or Marketing and a minimum of 3 years' experience in the retail industry. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Bahasa Cina is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate retail team to achieve sales targets with high standard of performance, good teamwork, effective communication, consistent positive result, continuous improvement and excellent customer service
  • Lead the retail team, fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and employee morale
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the retail team regularly to ensure consistency, and improvement of productivity and service quality
  • Plan and forecast staffing needs based on sales trends, foot traffic, and operational requirements
  • Serve as a point of contact for mall management and coordinate mall-wide promotions, events, and initiatives
  • Support the execution of in-mall marketing campaigns and store events to drive foot traffic and sales
  • Practice top-down and bottom-up communication to ensure business priorities, brand objectives, marketing initiatives and sales targets are well delivered
  • Develop and execute effective merchandising & promotional strategies to enhance brand visibility, optimal product assortment, presentation, and placement
  • Ensure retail team adhere to visual merchandising standards and ensure appealing product display
  • Monitor and analyze stock data, including sales trends, demand forecasting, and lead the team to facilitate accurate replenishment planning
Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Business Management, Marketing, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience in sales or marketing, preferably within retail industry
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and verbal). Proficiency in Bahasa Cina is a plus
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
