Job summary

A leading construction firm in Malaysia is seeking a Site Quantity Surveyor to manage progress payments and claims. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying, extensive experience in costing, and at least 7 years in the field. Job description

Evaluate and prepare progress payment to subcontractors.

Prepare final measurement including update measurement with variations from time to time.

Prepare progress payment claim and variation orders.

Prepare progress report, material schedule and budget.

Monitor material requisition for the up-to-date work progress.

Review quotations submitted by subcontractors.

Attend regular progress meetings.

Assist the Contract Manager in preparing tendering.

Verify subcontractor claims.

Prepare and submit progress payment, V.O., and claims.

Prepare Final Accounts.

Specific responsibilities as outlined in the company’s ISO 9001 : 2015 procedures.

Others work as requested by the immediate superior.

Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

Extensive knowledge and experience in costing and estimating of all kinds of building and civil works, including design and build arrangements will be an added advantage.

Minimum 7 years of experience in related field.

Willing to work in Ranau, Sabah.
