A construction management firm in Selangor seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimates, handle tender preparations, and lead a team. Candidates should have 8-12 years of experience in both pre- and post-contract works, with a strong emphasis on Building and Construction. Proficiency in Glodon Cubicost is required, along with excellent negotiation skills and a willingness to work long hours as needed. Candidates must be able to start immediately.

Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ) and cost estimates for Building & Construction, Interior Design (ID), Civil & Structural (C&S), renovation and refurbishment works.
Prepare and evaluate variation orders and cost claims.
Handle tender preparation, evaluation, and submission (pre-contract and post-contract).
Conduct cost negotiations with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
Manage claims, contractual matters, and final accounts.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and project teams on all tender and cost-related matters.
Source and evaluate contractors and suppliers.
Monitor project costs, budgets, and financial reporting.
Lead, guide, and support junior QS staff (for Manager & Senior QS roles).
Requirements
Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent (Master’s Degree is an added advantage).
Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in pre- and post-contract works, cost control, material resources planning, and team leadership, with strong exposure to Building & Construction works, including tendering, variations, claims, and final accounts.
Language proficiency: English, Tamil, and Chinese.
Strong knowledge of Building & Construction trades, materials, measurements, and costing.
Able to interpret detailed Construction and Engineering drawings.
Experience working in an ISO-certified or equivalent environment.
Independent, responsible, hardworking, and able to work under pressure.
Willing to work long hours when required, especially during tender periods.
Willing to work on Sundays and Public Holidays, if required.
Willing to work in Damansara Jaya, Selangor, and travel to project sites when required.
Must have own accommodation and transportation within the Klang Valley.
Good health condition is mandatory.
Proficient in Glodon Cubicost for cost estimation and quantity take-offs.
Able to start work immediately will be an added advantage.
