Job summary

A leading solar energy company in Malaysia is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to handle cost calculations, prepare bills of quantities, and liaise with suppliers and project teams. Ideal candidates will hold a degree in Quantity Surveying and possess at least 5 years of experience in the related field. The role demands strong teamwork, time management, and negotiation skills, with prior experience in the solar energy industry being a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of working experience in the related field.
• Experience in Solar Energy Industry will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Sources and prepares information for tender exercise including measurement and submission.
• Prepares bill of quantities involving material sourcing and cost estimation.
• Responsible for cost calculation according to bill of quantities.
• Liaise with Suppliers and Project & Design Team for purchases.
• Check and verify invoices from suppliers.

Job description

Sources and prepares information for participation in tender exercise including measurement, inviting quotations, costing report and submission of tender

Prepares bill of quantities which involves quantity take-off, materials sourcing, measuring and estimating material and labour costs used in the tendering process;

Responsible for cost calculation, project costing accordingly to BQ

Liaise with Suppliers (Local & Oversea)

Liaise with Project & Design Team on all material purchase related matters

Liaise with Project & Design Team on all BQ related works

Check and verify invoices from suppliers

Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent

At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
