Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for traffic management projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.
2. Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that all costs are tracked and controlled effectively.
3. Tendering Process: Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tenders and quotations, ensuring compliance with project specifications and client requirements.
4. Contract Administration: Manage and administer contracts, including negotiating terms and conditions, and resolving disputes.
5. Financial Reporting: Provide detailed financial reports and forecasts to support project management and decision‑making.
6. Project Monitoring: Monitor project progress and expenditures, and provide recommendations for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
7. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, contracts, and correspondence related to the project.
8. Client Liaison: Communicate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and resolve any issues that arise.
9. Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, standards, and safety regulations related to traffic management.
10. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the project stays on track and within budget.
11. Travel Requirements: Willing to travel, including outstation or mobilization, depending on site project requirements.
12. Lead Quantity Surveyors: Coordinate all Quantity Surveyor actions as a leader for contract team members to achieve company goals.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., MRICS) are advantageous.
