Job summary

A leading consulting firm based in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation, feasibility studies, and budget forecasting for various projects. The ideal candidate will possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in property development. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision are essential for this role. Applicants must be willing to work in Petaling Jaya and have their own transport.

• Well-versed in Microsoft Office, any Contract Admin & IFCA software is an added advantage.
• Ability to build good relationships internally and externally.

Job description

• Preparation of cost estimation, feasibility studies, budgetary forecast and review.
• To liaise with consultants for tendering, evaluation of tender and recommendation for award.
• Project cost control and implement value engineering in sourcing for alternatives by liaising coordinating with project team and consultants.
• Monitor and coordinate contractual claims, payments, variations and final accounts.
• Perform daily duties in contract administration.
• Attending client consultants meeting, project meeting and site valuation when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by superior.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in quantity surveyor field in property development.
• Well verse in Microsoft Office, any Contract Admin & IFCA software is added advantage.
• Good in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Experienced in automation or digitalization will be an added advantage.
• Possess good analytical skills, meticulous, highly organized, proactive, committed and strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to build good relationship internally and externally.
• Able to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadline.
