About the role

MH Theme Design Sdn Bhd, a dynamic construction company based in Kuala Lumpur, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team as a full‑time position. This role will support the delivery of our construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage bills of quantities, cost estimates and detailed cost plans for construction projects.
• Analyse and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
• Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts.
• Monitor and control project costs, ensuring they remain within budget.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to project teams on contractual and commercial matters.
• Assist with the preparation of tenders and bids for new projects.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of post‑qualification experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the construction industry.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and IT systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Familiarity with the Malaysian construction industry and regulations.
