A construction company based in Johor Bahru is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor. The role includes assisting with contract documentation, coordinating estimation activities, and negotiating pricing with suppliers. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry. 1. Assist superintendent pre and post contract documentation include to support procurement, cost and contract administration at assigned projects.
2. Coordinate full range of QS activities, including estimation, quantity taking off and administer pre-contract work including analyzing scope of tender, sourcing of sub-contractors, preparing bills of quantity, pricing, and submission of tenders.
3. Source, liaise and negotiate with supplier and sub-contractor for material pricing and purchasing.
4. Process progress claim and variation orders.
5. Carry out re-measurement, site evaluation, assessment and verification of claims and variation orders.
6. Review and comments terms and condition of the Letter of Award issued by Employer.
7. Preparation Letter Award to Subcontractor.
8. Able to travel to site/ outstation.
9. Any other adhoc assignments given by the management from time to time.
