Job description

Key Responsibilities

• The main responsibility of a Senior Quality Engineer is to performing quality activities throughout a project lifecycle. Develops, implements quality assurance processes and assess the test strategies, test coverage conducted and quality of the system under validation. The candidate will work integrated with the project team and developers in executing various test strategies with limited duration and resources while at the same time, maximizing the test coverage. The candidate will be reporting to quality/test manager.
• Responsible for ensuring that the products produced meet quality standards
• Inspecting deliverables, developing quality assurance processes and determining corrective actions.
• Perform quality gate review (checkpoint review) to ensure product adherence to the company standards and perform root cause analysis of issues prior reporting.
• Provide guidance to testing team on quality standard and process governance.
• Accountable for assigned project deliverables, including quality reporting (test statistics, measurement, etc) to the reporting manager when required
• Demonstrate professionalism in performing the tasks especially when dealing with external customers.
• Interact with customers by supporting the Test Leads, Test Managers as and when required.
• Strive towards meeting all datelines required in performing the assigned tasks.
• Able to provide technical inputs in resolving issues and close open issues assigned and documentation changes.
• Continuous Risk Analysis assessment on the product under test based on test coverage, defects history and other parameters.
• Actively contribute to ISO17025 implementation, maintenance and improvement of quality management system in respected field of testing.
• Responsible to report occurrence of departures from QMS or procedures related to performing test activities and report to technical lead or quality manager

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Electronic & Electrical Engineering field

Professional Qualification

• Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering – Foundation Level (CPRE) or Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) is desirable

Work Experience

• Experience in full Software Development Life Cycle activities and processes preferably in a large project.
• Experience in working on integration projects across various towers such as application, infrastructure and technical (database, security, network and security).
• Experience in Hardware and/or Software Audit, Static Testing and Dynamic Testing.
• Experience in document control and/or configuration management.
• Exposed to both traditional Waterfall and Agile methodology.
• Expose to Quality Management of software project.
• Experience in writing technical report and/or quality report.
• Experience in checkpoints/gates review and statistical/metrics analysis.
• Knowledge in variety test management and project management related tools such as JIRA, PMIS etc.

Technical Skills

• Knowledgeable in software development lifecycle (SDLC) including Test Case creation, Test strategy and Test execution
• Knowledgeable in quality/test reporting and defect analysis
• Knowledgeable in checkpoints/gates review and statistical/metrics analysis.

Soft Skills

• Possess analytical skills and critical thinking
• Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
• Able to work under pressure and to tight time scales with a demonstrable ability to multi task and deliver projects to tight deadlines
• Efficiently managing and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and maximize productivity
