Job summary

A leading property development firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a QAQC Specialist to monitor quality standards and ensure compliance on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering and at least 5 years of QAQC experience, alongside strong technical knowledge of relevant standards. Responsibilities include reviewing documentation, conducting inspections, and preparing QAQC reports. The position offers a competitive remuneration package based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly QAQC reports and quality dashboards.

Qualifications
  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ QAQC experience, preferably with property developer or client-side exposure.
  • Strong technical knowledge of QLASSIC, CIS7:2021, ISO 9001, drawings & specifications.
  • Assertive, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to enforce quality standards independently.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with consultants and contractors.
  • Able to work at project sites and adapt to fast-paced construction environments.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and enforce the Developer’s Quality Standards (LPQS), CIS7:2021 & ISO–related requirements at the site.
  • Review and comment on PQP, ITP, Method Statements, Material Submissions, and shop drawings.
  • Verify RFWI/RFI submissions and ensure readiness before consultant/IOW inspections.
  • Conduct daily site workmanship checks for structural, architectural, M&E & external works.
  • Highlight, record, and track defects, NCRs & SORs; ensure full and proper rectification.
  • Perform joint inspections with consultants and document all findings.
  • Coordinate directly with Contractors, NSCs/DSCs, and Consultants to resolve quality issues.
  • Support mock‑up reviews, sample boards, and pre‑handover inspections.
  • Assist the Project Manager in quality discussions and technical clarifications.
  • Monitor testing requirements (concrete, rebar, waterproofing, etc.) and verify compliance.
  • Ensure proper QAQC documentation, checklists, test results & photo evidence are maintained.
  • Prepare weekly QAQC reports, defect summaries, and quality dashboards for management.
  • Conduct toolbox/OJT sessions for site teams on workmanship standards & QLASSIC requirements.
  • Promote a quality‑first culture among contractors and subcontractors.
  • To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the management.
