Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Kuala Lumpur/Selangor seeks a seasoned QA/QC professional for mechanical and process works on large industrial construction projects. You will develop QA/QC plans, review ITPs and testing protocols, and lead inspections to ensure compliance with design and project specs.

The role requires strong communication and stakeholder management to coordinate with contractors, vendors, and clients, while tracking quality metrics and supporting commissioning and handover activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/chemical/process engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project QA/QC plans for mechanical and process works.
• Review and approve ITPs, method statements, quality procedures, and testing protocols.
• Oversee inspections and audits for mechanical and process systems per design and specs.
• Monitor installation quality for HVAC, piping, process utilities, and related systems.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, welding procedures, test packs, and inspection records.
• Manage NCRs, quality observations, corrective actions, and root cause analyses.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors, commissioning teams, and client reps on QA matters.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Track quality metrics and report to stakeholders.
• Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, punch list, and handover activities.
